The meeting in Miskolc, Hungary took place from October 12th to October 16th 2026.
The experimental production of ethanol by fermentation, the measurement of the CO2 produced and the impact on different parameters on the reaction were done in internationally mixed groups. A visit to the diary plant Jasztej Kft and the bioethanol plant Hungrana Kft gave us a deeper insight in into the production and processing of food / starch processing and the production of bioethanol. The meeting was completed by a workshop constructing ethanol bracelets and an evaluation and reflection of the acquired knowledge and competences.

Different kinds of group activities, trips to the cities of Miskolc and Budapest provided us with a deeper insight of Hungarian culture. Furthermore, by living in host families or the boarding school we gained a better understanding on everyday life in Hungary and the school.
During the whole project students used English as a working language which enabled us both to improve our communication skills and learn new academic and scientific vocabulary.
We are looking forward to seeing our newfound friends in the meetings in Vienna and Krakow!
